So I finally decided to do something about the lack of Quake on my HDD, and found this hidden away in the MAPS folder from several years ago; a map that I'd not even tried outside of a few LAN Deathmatches.

As expected, the layout is loosely-based on the cabin from the 'Evil Dead' trio of movies, and it's a decent enough recreation regarding that much of the level. Thankfully, it does expand on the cabin and surrounding areas and there are also far more things to kill here than only four possessed college students. Zombies, Fiends, Ogres, Scrags... you get the idea.

Not a bad map, plenty of exploration needed to make progress, but then there are a few stupid things thrown in for whatever reason (such as the 'ever painful staircase', a couple of lousy (useless) enemy placings, and that total anticlimax of an ending).

Only one secret within, and it's pretty easy to find (but somewhat fittingly, it is also lacking in reward). And looking for that last enemy was a swine too, hiding in a fucking mirror like that.
