Quake (Hard Playthrough) [PC] - E4M4: The Palace Of Hate
5Oh no, it's one of my lowest kill ratios!
This map's a bit of a bastard; the Ogre count is at an all-time-low (Hurrah!), but this is countered by an obscene number of Death Knights, Fiends, and Shamblers.
There's still some of the lesser foes poncing around getting blown up (Scrags, Knights, Rotfish), but for the most part the place is a bit of an ammo sink. Or it would be, if the designer wasn't so generous with throwing around replacement Nails and Shells.
Professional Idiocy:
Near the end, while swathed in the Pentagram's invulnerability, I use a grenade to catch a ride through a teleporter. I mean, why not? I won't get blown up. The problem isn't apparent at first, but for whatever reason in BROWN WORLD, armour is still affected by all projectiles, hitscans and explosions -- regardless of Pentagram. So there went a sizable amount of precious Red Armour.
