Quake II beta test playthrough
3Quake II was made from GLQuake. Unlike the original Quake, it was designed for 3D accelerators from the start. This allowed for effects like colored lighting, transparencies, texture filtering and so on. There was a pretty big difference between the software rendered and the 3D accelerated version. Here I'm showing the 3DFX version of the beta test. This beta test is pretty cool and has some differences from the final version. We can see slower firing shotguns, faster blaster pistol, some different backgrounds and sounds and so on. The contents of this version are almost the same as the final demo version of the game but the feel of it is different due to these differences.
