Quake Mod: PainKeep for Quake
Since I've played Zaero for Quake II, I felt like it would also be worth making a video on this mod as well.
PainKeep for Quake was made by Team Evolve, as their second project. A free deathmatch-only addon with 7 new weapons and 21 new maps as well. The start map is a hub map where players vote on which map they want to play on. After that it cycles through the maps in number order. All of the maps also have an exit, though I couldn't really find it in some of the maps.
One of the new weapons is the AirFist, the same weapon from their previous weapon mod. The shotguns also can shoot exploding shells, which explode after being shot out, of course. The Pulse Nailgun shoots higher velocity nails which bounce off of surfaces. There's also the Chain Lightning Gun, which is basically the same cut weapon that was mentioned in the Qtest1 readme. The Harpoon Gun is the grappling hook of the game; shoot it onto a surface, then it will pull you towards it. Press fire again to retract it. It can even bring items and players closer.
The new items that use the first slot are the AutoSentry, which deploys an automatic turret, bear traps, which are set down and damage the player for some time when stepped on, a can of pork and beans, which restore 100 health, and a gravity well, which sucks in players and kills them instantly.
