So this technically started a long, long time ago at this point. The first rooms before the water section were actually a previously scrapped map from Prototype Jam 4. I couldn't quite figure out how I wanted that proto-jam map to look so I kinda just shelved it and forgot about it until I was looking through a bunch of old map files a few months later and re-stumbled across it.

After that, I went back to it and retextured it a few times, mostly because I thought the basic geometry looked intriguing enough to potentially be the start of something new, until eventually landing on a 'Jungle Temple' theme. It was either this or a techbase (idbase or Rubicon seemed like decent contenders for a theme on this), and I wasn't quite feeling another techbase map, so I stuck with the jungle temple idea.

Going the jungle route also gave me an opportunity to mess around with a water section, something I had toyed with a bit before in a few other maps (Outpost Auriga IV notably, and I guess Ferric Oxide by a technicality), but never actually went too in-depth with it (no pun intended).

The main hurdle with this map was probably trying to figure out how I wanted the underwater section to look. I remember I spent at least a couple of weeks, and a few breaks to work on other stuff, basically labbing out ideas for routing that underwater bit. Once I got past that, the rest of the map was pretty much smooth sailing.
