Quakeworld DM4 TOT Bot Challenge World Record
24My bot challenge world record 3/3. The last one of my world records in these bot challenges. This one allows a lot of mistakes because dying is allowed, but still good pathing, speed and aim are required. There's no way to get a competitive score without the bots and their spawns cooperating with you though, which is why this was mentally very draining.
Paradoks and Phrenic tried to talk me into this one for a while. I knew it would consume me and I didn't want to touch it initially. I gave in and quickly got 209, when Phrenic's world record was 213. A few days later I matched Phrenic's 213 and managed to persuade my friend Hell to give it a try as well. Hell was consistently hitting results around 210 but the world record evaded him until stars finally aligned for him and a pretty devastating 220 stood as the new world record. I was able to beat Phrenic's former world record by a frag a day or two later but now it wasn't even close. Perhaps a week later it was my turn, with the smallest of margins.
The rules are simple: five minutes, eight bots, kill them as many times as you can.
