"Quantum" (Demon) by BitZel & IFSGeorge {All Coins} | Geometry Dash 2.11
964You may see the text that says this is for the GDS Contest in the level. On its own, as a standalone level, this is quite good, but as a remake for the contest, it's quite bad. It's a remake of Quantum Blender, which is an early 2.0 design level by DWShin and Andro3d. If you don't know it, just imagine something like Darnoc. Besides the song, this remake has nothing in common with the original. Of course, being unique is cool, but when there is no resemblance at all, it doesn't quite meet the rules well. This is still a pretty cool level, though. Both of these creators are gaining some traction recently, and it's nice to see them combine well in this level. I like some of the unique gameplay elements it has, such as the buttons in the first part and the flying blocks as obstacles at 0:27. This definitely deserves at least a feature, and it will most likely be a Medium Demon. There are some quick parts here and there that require memorization.
- COIN RATING -
Gold. 3/4. This level features only one coin, which is quite original in how it's done, but lacking in difficulty. The originality does make it enough to get up to a Gold rating, albeit a weak one.
• 1st coin: Gold. The coin route starts at 0:39, which is pretty obvious. I dislike when creators put random question marks out to hint towards the coins as it pretty much just reveals it immediately. Trying to find creative ways of doing hints is hard, but worth it in my opinion. Hitting that button, you can go above the normal route, and at 0:42 comes the original part. You essentially pick up a bubble shield of sorts, and at 0:45, you can now just jump straight into the acid and take the coin route. This is a cool and unique way of doing the coin, and it's very fitting for the level's theme. I like how the alternate coin route goes on for quite a bit. The coin is weak when it comes to difficulty to find and get, which is something I'd wish was a bit higher, but the originality makes it enough for me to give a Gold rating.
