I Want To Break Free by Queen is a hit song from their eleventh album "The Works" (1984). The song was released in three versions - Album, single and extended. I Want To Break Free was included in most live concerts by Queen. The song was regarded as an anthem of fighting against oppression in Europe and South America.
Fun fact! The music video featured all the band members dressed in women's clothes, the idea coming from Roger Taylor as a parody of the soap opera "Coronation Street". The video also featured a composition by the Royal Ballet. The parody was acclaimed in the United Kingdom but banned in the United States for being controversial.
