Dancing Queen is one of the best-known songs by Swedish Europop group ABBA. From their 1976 album "Arrival", it was a hit worldwide, as well as ABBA's first and last number one hit in the United States. The song's disco style, inspiring other bands to follow the trend. With a beautiful melody, Dancing Queen features instrumental hooks and lyrics about going to the discotheque, with a little more emotional content than other disco songs.
Fun fact! Dancing Queen was given the first International Standard Music Work Code, T-000.000.001-0 in 1995. Anni-Frid Lyngstad (one of the singers of Abba) also performed Dancing Queen at Swedish Queen Silvia's 50th birthday in 1993, and the Swedish Prime Minister was in the audience.
