I put the barb on off-camera and it was a pain. I used soap and WD-40 to lubricate it to get it into the plastic hose. Someone else said you can boil water and stick the end of the hose into it to make it more stretchy, but I was able to get most of the barb into the hose and secured it with a hose clamp tightly. I don't think the barb has to be in all the way, just enough that you can hose clamp it secure. Combined with teflon/plumber's tape on the threads of the threaded end, I can use my 150psi air compressor again with no issues now. Apologies for not including these details in the video but it was my first time doing this and wasn't sure it would work. If it breaks again I'll re-do the video lol.
