I took advantage of the Minimal System install of Kubuntu 18.04 and opted to have LibreOffice as a Snap based application this time.
Snap version of LibreOffice is kept up to date, unlike the Deb based version from the standard repositories.
However, it doesn’t have the system theming. This is due to a known issue with the sandboxing of Snaps. (Flatpak have already fixed this issue)

$sudo snap install libreoffice
