Quick Look - Billiards Dungeon - Part 1
Quick look at Billiards Dungeon; a dungeon crawler with unique gameplay mechanics, i.e. your character is a cue ball and all enemies are pool balls. Defeat enemies by smashing into them and/or potting them into oversized holes. There are multiple floors item rooms and even shops. I do get a run ending bug on my first run which was obviously less than ideal... I have some minor gameplay issues, the ramps imo aren't satisfying how they just convert all horizontal momentum into 95% vertical momentum. I think the concept is fine but it ruins a bit of fluidity for me. I also think it's a bit unfair that the enemy will always cue against you first, since you have to cue to move into a room. I think your cue timer should reset upon entering rooms. I also didn't find many of them items to impactful. They all seemed to be mainly stats up. Could be fun to Isaac it up a little and have maybe active items like things or ball effects etc... To be fair they may be in the game. I only played for 30 mins so your experience may differ. I also would have liked to apply cue ball spin in the game, just to give me more control and avoid pits. The game is available on steam for £15, which is probably fair as there are multiple character and a level item unlocking system that would improve replayability.
