G'day all MrPaladin here.

Something happened between Competitive Season 1 and Season 2...
Let me say this clearly - Quickplay is not comp!

Many Random games I've been in and heard over chat where players get very invested in winning the map in quickplay, but there are some problems with this. We all like to win, but don't lose sight of a few things in Quickplay.

What makes a game in comp balanced
- Both teams play, then you have to beat the enemy teams success on a flipped map.
- Map does not need to be "won" You can win or Draw based on how far you got.
- KOTH games are best of 5 to avoid "luck"

What Quickplay does
- One team attacks one team defends, you must complete the entire map, no assurance the map will flip and no link to the previous round.
- KOTH games are best of 3 and is one of the most fair modes in quickplay.

Loss stats in quickplay are no longer tracked. So try for your personnel best and practice your underused heros in quickplay.

Save the super competitiveness for the comp where your map/team loss stats will be scored. Even then don't be too worried about it because if you practice you'll end up winning more then losing because of your effort, and the more games you play you earn them sweet golden weapons! Don't get too hung up on stats that it cripples your gameplay or your fun!

I know some people would get extremely tilted about playing against a team like 5 reaper+Lucio or playing with a team like this as they prefer the Meta balance of 2 tank, 2 damage (offence or defense) and 2 support because it "wins" more games than it loses if you look at the stats.

Don't let this mindset of having to be meta or having to win the map in a quickplay ruin the fun... Use quickplay to help your understanding of all the heroes as its a safe space to do it. Someone comes at you with 5 reapers, try to counter it, don't complain about it!

Be wary that you don't use this same logic to try to justify trolling your teammates in quickplay. Just because your stats don't matter to you gives you no justification to go into a game to attempt to ruin someones fun. You wanna have some fun ado it at the enemies expense! go ahead, throw some symettra turrets or junkrat traps on a basketball and get a surprise kill. Knock yourself out... but going into a friendly or passive mode outside of skirmish or symettra teleporters that intentionally ruin your teammates chances of doing anything useful is a waste of your teammates time. Since time is something you will never be able to give back to someone and you use their time to annoy them, it makes you a jerk and nothing more.

Don't let a loss Quickplay bring you down, try new things, learn new routes. Try those strange tactics you saw online
Overuse a skill to see if it truly is Overpowered or if those who complain about it simply don't know how to avoid or counter it.
