R-TYPE LEO - 2 PLAYER (ARCADE - FULL GAME)
22Zeus presents R-Type Leo on the Arcade, a true classic from the golden era of arcade gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game.
Year of release: 1992
The third arcade R-Type game but not necersarilly a sequel, infact this game (in story terms) takes place in an alternate time zone,...a spin-off so to speak.
This is the first R-Type game that allows 2 player co-op mode which does amp up the fun rather than the players taking turns in 1 player mode, the graphics are really neat with lovely backgrounds, the playability is good, the controls are tight and of course the difficulty is what you'd expect from an R-Type game,...madly hard!
A nice edtion to the series but was quite rare to see in the arcades back in the day and with no conversions on home formats it was many years later thanks to MAME I was finally able to play this game,...still odd not to be an official R-Type III sequel instead of a spin-off.
We have used the infinite lives cheat so I could upload the entire game for your viewing pleasure.
