Rabi-Ribi: Rumi SP on BEX - 0% Items [No Consumables/Buffs]
22I am actually surprised. Starting from 2:56 onwards, I never saw most of these patterns before.
Its so refreshing to see a set of completely new attacks!
And honestly, I think I prefer this "SP" version of Rumi over her normal one.
The first couple of phases are trivial because of Instant Death.
You just need to survive 1 attack, then an Air Phase, then 1 Attack and another Air phase again.
Its still a good idea to attack, but focus purely on adding to your Rank (Rainbow Charged and the occasional Blue Boost), you dont need raw damage since everything does 4444 anyway.
The real fight starts at her Cut-In 1:07.
You can afford to get hit once during this air-phase (In fact, thats preferable over using Amulets), but no more hits than that or you wont be at full HP once it is over.
1:28 I am pretty sure from this point onwards, the fight enters its "SP" version with special rules.
No more Instant Death, you must take down this last HP bar the regular way.
On the plus side, I am pretty sure it also drastically reduces how much damage Rumi’s attacks deals to you- I dont remember the last instance I saw single digit damage numbers on this run, but they are a thing here! Both you and Rumi are pretty tanky as a result.
2:33 is fixed, go to the same places every single attempt for the same results... I havent figured it all out by the time I beat her but... I already beat her so I dont need to xD
3:20 I have no idea what the heck is this. Most confusing pattern ever.
Maybe it has a trick or something but I couldt figure it out so I just tank this.
4:06 I love these patterns. So pretty, and, at least for me, fun and easy...
Its so good it repeats twice! No thats not luck, its fixed to do that.
Dont ask me why, but I wont complain about it. Its relaxing.
4:59 This is a regular pattern. I just tank this if necessary.
5:13 Another ordinary pattern, but I always quite liked this one as well.
Its usually pretty easy, but have an Amulet ready just in case. She will also repeat this twice.
Overall a pretty cool fight. I liked most of these "new" (For me at least) patterns. The decision of adding Instant Death for the first couple of phases is also very welcome; thats one of the things I dont like much about the regular Rumi, the first few phases make the fight drag on a bit too much. This fixes that.
Dont forget to get the Easter Egg Rumi is guarding after the fight...should be one of the last ones...
