RaceRoom Racing Experience - 1992 DTM - Norisring
After having some missed shift issues with my Fanatec H pattern shifter i decided to spend the afternoon trying out some different sim settings to find out if i could cure this little problem.
So i fired up my favorite H pattern content the 1992 DTM cars and selected the Mercedes EVO II and started playing around.
This is the final race of the day and was the one that had no missed shifts no matter what i tried on track and even ended in a podium just to top things off.
If you are also having the odd missed shift with R3E here are the settings i found sorted it for me and my Fanatec shifter,
I reduced the double shift protection time down from 0.5 to 0.2
Then i set the percentage of upper end of clutch pedal travel to 90% down from 100%
I then moved the clutch biting point slider to 3 and enabled manual clutch.
This combination gave me perfecting shift up and down the box time after time and has solved one of the last little things about this sim that used to get under my skin.
