Radeon R9 270 Benchmarking - Unigine Heaven & Valley
I finally replaced my 5 year old Radeon 5850, with a spank'in new Asus Radeon R9 270 Direct CU II video card. While it's not top of the line, it ain't no slouch either. As a sort of validation test versus the Radeon 5850 I have replaced it with, I'm testing the new card on Unigine's older but still nice Heaven and Valley benchmarks that are full DX11 enabled.
I used my webcam to record the footage to minimize processing losses. So sorry for the lack of picture quality.
As for the entire system specs:
AMD Phenom II x4 925 OC to 3.5 GHz
Asus Radeon R9 270 Direct CU II 2 GB GDDR5
MSI C45-770 Mobo
2 x 2 GB DDR3 @ some abnormal speed due to system OC
1 TB 7200 RPM HDD
Asus Xonar DS Sound Card
Corsair H60 CPU Liquid Cooler
Raidmax 630W PSU
Yes, the system is limited to a certain degree by an older (but still useful) CPU, and only 4 GB of RAM, but I've been happy in the improvements the new graphics card has brought about. New DX11 games overtaxed the Radeon 5850's more rudimentary tessellation output especially.
