Radiant Hive Knight Challenge - The Floor is Lava! Part 16 (Buzzing With the Bees)
161A challenge to defeat Hive Knight without touching the ground. After beating Hive Knight on the ground the next obvious step is to beat him in the air.
This one proved to be significantly harder than other pogo challenges and some of that is just due to RNG. Spine balls can spawn on you or bees will spawn in bad places, either several moving along the wall you're on or in your way trying to reach the other wall. Most deaths were something going wrong with those two moves. Part of the issue is you really do not want to be beneath Hive Knight as if he does a bee spit and you can't make it to a free wall you will die or fall on the floor. Likewise, as Hive Knight leaps after summoning spine balls or following his bee spit/dash, he'll normally leap away but if he's hugging a wall and you're above him he may opt to jump along that wall and kill you. So if Hive Knight will end up hugging your wall after doing a bee spit/dash you usually want to try to make it to the other wall, otherwise you'll need to time a dash back to the wall and hope Hive Knight didn't delay on jumping or have a bee fly into you. The more times Hive Knight uses his teleport slash for easy damage, the quicker and easier the fight will be.
This one was a good bit of fun and very satisfying to finally win it (I had to kill it a second time since I fell on the floor once or twice in the first kill), but definitely one of the harder challenges.
