Radiant Markoth Challenge - The Floor is Lava? Space? Acidic Clouds? Part 22 (Perilous Platforms)
352Defeating Markoth without touching the floor, or in this case staying off the platforms, a challenge suggested by TheCherryPi (and probably others I'm forgetting). I also used dreamshield at the suggestion of -Voluntary-Insomniac- (Rdntst), who wanted to see to see it used in an ascended/radiant Markoth fight.
There's a good bit of RNG to this challenge and it becomes very difficult once you hit P2. If Markoth decides to stay at the top of the screen you have to wait for him to come back down for pogoing (a similar problem exists with pogoing if Markoth stays under the center platform). It is possible to chase Markoth with super dashing during the javelin phase in P1, but the javelins spawn too quickly to use it in P2 except during a shield spin.
I'm overall not too happy with this one as I could not consistently pogo Markoth in P2 and avoid damage. Javelin spawns in particular will mess you up pretty easily if you're unlucky when pogoing. It is still possible to get 1-2 swings in pogoing during a shield spin but I opted to play it safe from the wall. I generally prefer to avoid spells with these challenges too. I may revisit this if I can work out the pogoing better for P2 but I've sunk a little too much time into this already.
