Is it a flight sim? Is it a first person shooter?? NO!! IT'S RADIX!!!! 8D

Today on Ancient DOS Games, Gemini's taking a look at Radix: Beyond the Void, a sort of hybrid between a flight sim and a first person shooter developed by Neural Storm Entertainment and Union Logic Software Publishing, while being published by Epic MegaGames originally in late 1995, as well as by CDV in the German market, with a major 2.0 "remix" update a year later which almost completely altered how the game is played... except this review is with the 1.1 release...

Radix had a bit of a rocky release as the combination of mechanics did not lead to a very playable game, not when compared to what else was out at the time, not helped by the controls being somewhat imprecise, and while the game got way better with it's 2.0 release, but by then, games like Quake were already out, leaving Radix in the dust.

Additional Information and Corrections:

* Turns out I got the FOV wrong... it's WORSE than I expected! Using a copy of the 2.0 shareware version I was able to perform the calculation exactly and the FOV is only 60 degrees! D:

* When watching back the game footage during editing I noticed the "infinite collision" thing with slopes is not ACTUALLY infinite, but the speed at which the damage accumulates is so ludicrous it might as well be. :P
