1st clear on RaiGeiki: Thunder Striker!
It feels like a good modern GB shmup!

RaiGeki: Thunder Striker is a shmup by RETSUZAN as part of the GameBuddy franchise. It was developed in Pixel GameMaker MV. It´s initial release was in 2022 for Nintendo Switch, and then in this year for PC.
It is mostly inspired in GouBakuRan: Rumble Storm and Solar Striker.
The game has different weapon loadouts, main shots, sub-shots, and bombs.
For main shot, black shot item gives vulcan, while shot item coin gives laser shot.
For sub-shot, V is for wide vulcan, H for homming, and L for laser. Collecting these again while having a weapon already equiped will increase their power.
If the main shot item cycles 2 times, it will turn into a collectable bomb.
If you die, your bomb stock is not reset. Instead, you get 3 extra bombs.
If you shoot certain hidden spots, you can reveal dino-moles, which can grant extends.
The game also encourages to perform some score milking, such as some zakos, missiles, etc.
It also has an optional 2nd loop, where your ship is reset to minimum power, and the lives and bombs are restored back to 3, with the addition of suicide bullets.
