5In this episode, the Boy explores the backstory of Tony and learns why young bears shouldn’t play on bridges over dangerous waterfalls. More importantly, the Boy learns the song for Tony’s music box and Mori No Kokoro Part 2, allowing us to leave Tony to be reunited with his daughter and focus on Kisaburo and Kazuko’s story. But before their story can be revealed, the Boy and his Mom must perform very long and involved fetch quests like going undercover to serve tea.
Rakuen is an adventure game by Laura Shigihara about an ill young boy who journeys with his mother between the hospital where he is being treated and the world of his storybook Rakuen. Within the fantasy world they seek the forest guardian Morizora, who will grant one wish to anyone who can overcome the challenges of the forest. In searching for the song to wake Morizora the boy and his mother help their fellow patients and their fantasy counterparts, bringing peace and happiness to their lives, and helping the boy and his mother come to terms with the boy’s own illness.
