Rally Ar (2013) - Every PC Rally Game
Rally Ar by Carlos Gazzolo/Leonel Gonzáles, 2013.
Essentially an rFactor 1 Argentinian rally mod, now available as both a small free demo and a paid-for full game. The video here shows the 2023 release, as it was still updated until this year!
The game drops a few frames here and there, and there are some minor glitches, as rFactor wasn't really meant to be a rally racing title! Stages are based on real-life ones from various Argentinian rally events. Vehicle types are fairly varied, from old historics to modern R5 cars, but they don't go as high as WRC level, as it's based on local, amateur-level regional rallies.
The co-driver is interesting, as they're frameed as an actual friend of the driver. To that end, therea are over 1,200 sound co-driver sound clips, but they're all in Spanish, which I don't speak, hence my driving being a bit cautious! Some tracks show hovering markers to indicate the tightness of corners, these are enabled/disabled with a shortcut before you start the game.
The developers say they are working on a new Unreal Engine 5 rally title to release in a year or so (for phones and PC), which will include English co-driver, so that could be something to watch out for.
Rally Ar is available from https://rallyar.wixsite.com/rally or https://rallyar.wixsite.com/rally?lang=en for English speakers.
