Surprisingly good time for what felt like a seed that should have been slow considering I did full item checks in all 3 pendant dungeons and even got 2 of the pendants. I didn't bother killing Moldorm but that actually left me quite fearful of the worst case scenario that somehow seemed to be rearing its ugly head: Required progression on Magic Bat, since Powder was on pedestal. Luckily that wasn't the case here.
Early boots + flute probably helped make the time a lot faster, as well as a fast GT. The seed was very nice early on, and I was rewarded handsomely by full-clearing PoD with no lamp first thing when I went into the dark world. That got me the fire rod, so I was then able to do SW and TT in one go.
Unfortunately, going straight from hype cave - pyramid ledge - PoD also meant that I isolated Catfish, so I didn't have mitts until over an hour in and nearly last-locationed it. After that everything was pretty straightforward, but having the mitts a lot earlier probably would have changed a lot of things around.
It's sad because usually without the ability to full-clear PoD I actually find myself doing hype cave - pyramid ledge - catfish - save and quit a lot of the time, which would have worked out fine in this case. Maybe I still should have done that here, since flute+hammer makes it easy to get to PoD afterwards?
I'm really just not sure how to approach routing in Catfish. It's not the best time investment for just one check all the way in the corner of the dark world in there, but at the same time if you DO want to check it, it seems like right after pyramid ledge is the most efficient place to route it in. Either that or you could try and combo it with waterfall cave + zora, but it's pretty awkward to do that if you also need to check hobo and lake hylia...
