Didn't feel too bad about this one. Figured it was probably an Aga seed once I saw the gloves on lake hylia. The seed teased us a bit on that as there was actually another glove in EP, which opened up Hera access, but seeing the cape on spec rock pretty much confirmed that it was an Aga seed. Wasn't work checking Agina at that point for a possible hammer.
Decided to take a peek into pendant SW first thing and got rewarded with the Flute. Bailed on the rest of SW after that. Did TT into Hype Cave and skipped smithy chain/purple chest, reasoning that I had the flute so I could always come back and do that later. I dunno though, it's sort of a tough call as it does sort of feel like it's on the way to hype cave, so not that much wasted time. Maybe I should have done it after all. I would have gotten the hookshot (out of purple chest) a lot earlier which I think would have improved my route.
I feel like in the past I would always have done smithy chain on the way here, but I feel like there was a seed where I got burned by doing smithy chain too early and reasoned, "well, I have the flute, it's easy to just go back and do it". But really, it's not that much extra walking, is it? So maybe I should prioritize that efficiency a little more, especially depending on the number of items left to find vs other checks available. This is something I'll have to mull over.
As is I ended up doing IP without somaria, so I lost some time there compared to if you had completed SP first and gotten somaria from there and thus done icebreaker. On the plus side I stayed out of DP entirely and we got the demigod mire layout which feels nice. Never saw the boots, which was a bit interesting -- I don't remember how to do bootsless spooky glitch but b/c of the key layout it wasn't so bad. In GT I couldn't bonk across the hidden path before Ice Armos so I figured I'd bomb jump across -- failed that lineup a few times (hey, it's invisible, gimme a break) which felt silly.
Half magic and red mail made for an easy time just bumrushing ganon despite failing the correct phase 2 setup.
Feels like you could have done a bit better but not all that much better, unless the boots were available somewhere sensible and I just missed out on them.
