I think I have a handle on the basics of EGS now I just need to take a bit more care there aren't any giant insects around when I'm in the crafting menus. Also that "we come in peace" doesn't work with the alien species "nightmares" (who'd have thought it).
I should probably try out some of the tech in my backpack, i'm not sure i was meant to manually dig up that copper.
Anyway I'll start a new game with a new seed and try not to die, at least until I can build a respawn clone chamber thingy.
