Kidney exchange involves creating a non-monetary marketplace through which incompatible donors and patients can take part in exchanges, so that each patient in the exchange receives a transplant from a compatible donor. IΓÇÖll recount the brief history of kidney exchange, explain some of the technical problems that have been overcome, and some which remain.
