Fated Mage Hunt, tier 18 (Base NG).
Well, if there was ever any fight that would make the deep lore :tm: even better, it's this one. Both with mechanical and lore-themed implications.
His elemental attributes are Physical/Fire, elements that *both of my weapons have separately*. This makes him (mechanically) already an innate counter to the build (there's no backup weapons, because of lore) thanks to elemental resistances.
Then there's the fact that this mage is a *chronomancer* which allows him to bend and manipulate time, and although (mechanically) he can only slow it down, that still makes for nasty setups if you don't pay attention to your positioning and timings.
To top it all off, this *time-manipulating* *_mage_* is (lore-wise) fighting against an old mercenary well past his prime. A mercenary that only knows how to wield a blade and fight until the bitter end, without any magic or divine blessings at all. Both of them anthithesis of each other.
Yet this fight is, maybe ironically maybe not, fairly short. I suppose that even in the battlefield, fate must wait for its turn to come.
