Rat Armies, Alchemy And 6 More Plague Tale Features You’ll Love | New PC Gameplay
A Plague Tale Innocence is just around the corner, ready to flood your monitor with virtual rat armies. In out new Plague Tale PC gameplay we look at Asobo’s narrative adventure, testing the stealth, weapons crafted with alchemy and, er, we may feed our brother to some rats. These things happen in A Plague Tale. Honest.
Rock Paper Shotgun is working on its A Plague Tale review - this is one final look before the final verdict. Alice is writing our Plague Take review, so keep an eye out for that on monday. Luckily, we were able to play and capture the PC version of the game at an event last month, and talk to the game director about how they designed the rats, how they avoided the perils of escort missions and where the idea came to stick you in a horror sandwich between rat armies and the vicious inquisition. We enjoyed the stealth and action of the early chapters, but it was good to have A Plague Tale test where we could try out advanced mechanics.
Elsewhere in our new A Plague Tale Innocence test you can see the alchemy system at work, and see how it creates conflict with underlying upgrade systems - I’m intrigued to see how this evolves in the complete game. In this A Plague Tale PC gameplay we also see the rats in the outside world, demonstrating how fast they can invade the peace and quiet. My advice: don’t eat a sandwich while watching the video. Don’t worry about story spoilers, we don’t reveal what the Plague Tale is about - in fact, if you want to hear more about story we recommend watching our earlier video, which has more information.
The earlier video was about the 5 best and worst A pLague Tale Innocence features: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzPWFgkrm5E
Also, I mention in the video a longer A Plague Tale gameplay example - this is taken from later in the game and can be watched here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2w-k5iScmdw
I am intrigued to see where the final A Plague Tale Innocence review ends up - I’m such a huge fan of single-player narrative adventures, and so few of them get made. Whenever someone does make a new one I’m willing it to be good. Certainly the early stages of A Plague Tale are pretty strong, with a great sense of atmosphere and location and a story that I’m genuinely curious to see to its conclusion. Of course, four levels is nothing to judge a game by, so it could all to go to hell minutes after we stopped playing. Either way, I hope you enjoy this A Plague Tale Innocence PC gameplay - thanks to Asobo for letting us show you the new level.
If you have any questions about A PLague Tale pop them in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer them. I hope you enjoyed this video and please give us a like if you did. Oh, and subscribe to Rock Paper Shotgun for more videos like this. Thanks for watching, and please do try to avoid the rat swarm. It never ends well.
