Ratchet and Clank Future A Crack in Time for PlayStation 3
Hello and welcome to another great PlayStation 3 exclusive sneak peek. This time I take a look at another amazing sequel to the long lasting Ratchet and Clank franchise, Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time.
In this Ratchet and Clank adventure, the storyline continues from where it left off in Quest for Booty where the Zoni have captured Clank and your closing in on finding his whereabouts while wondering what the Zoni have to do in all this mess.
With the help of your trusty sidekick Captain Quark, you set out on the biggest adventure yet! Your mission is to rescue Clank, and stop the evil Nefarious from using Clanks powers of time manipulation, and to rule the galaxy and destroy those in his path. Simple right?
Right off the bat you get to use Clank, and you get to use him a little more in this R&C than in most others. His role is fun and he gets the job done, but I personally like to use Ratchet myself. This game also adds new elements, like shooting down ufos in space while listening to Pirate radio, that are pretty neat.
The graphics are very good as usual and the framerate runs smoothly. I love the animation of the characters, and the design of the stages in the game. Every stage is very unique looking, and the special effects look sweet like always on Insomniacs games. All the explosions look great and the background scenery is pretty fantastic looking as well.
The music in this game is great like all Ratchet and Clank games. Wonderfully orchestrated music accompanies this game and fits great with each area, each cut scene, and really sets the mood to get you moving. I just love it.
The sound effects are great. The explosions in surround sound are nice to hear and the sounds of the bolts flying everywhere are quite nice. All the guns have sweet sound effects as well that sprinkle the speakers with futuristic sounds of lazer guns, electrified land spikes, and even large echos of the crazy belching blaster!
The controls are pretty much spot on like any other Ratchet and Clank game. I have no complaints about them, and there is nothing really new to add either as they are the same as they were in Quest for Booty, and thats a great game!
Bottom Line: Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time is a blast to play from beginning to end, and is in my opinion a great addition to the PlayStation 3 library. Anyone who has enjoyed the past Ratchet and Clank games will love this one, and new comers that like this video, will likely enjoy the game as well. If you like awesome futuristic weapons, great gameplay, big bosses, sweet graphics, a cast of awesome characters, Lombax's, and good humor then you will love this game!
This game is in 720p native, has Dual Shock 3 Rumble support, Trophy support, Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 Surround Sound quality.
