Ratchet & Clank: Part 9: The Treacherous Umbris Plot Twist
Ratchet & Clank made it to Captain Qwark's headquarters on Planet Umbris. The superhero challenged the Galactic Duo to make it through his dangerous obstacle course in one piece, so that they can become superheroes and fight crime alongside him.
Ratchet was wonder he had to do this, but Qwark didn't seem to care that much.
----------
There aren't any Skill Point on this planet. You are just going through a straight obstacle into Quark's HQ. Demolish any hazard that stands in your way, and solve any puzzle that you come across. Some puzzles will involve stepping on three green switches under a time limit, while other puzzles will involve using the Hydrodisplacer to move through pools WITHOUT getting eaten by the huge fish.
As a Sonic fan, I heard a sample in this planet's music that was used in Sonic CD's Japanese Quartz Quadrant Bad Future.
----------
At the end of the obstacle course, Clank was especially excited to get his reward from Captain Qwark, but Ratchet sensed something... off about the area they were in and where Qwark was...
...and that's when Qwark dropped both of them into a firey pit. He's trying to kill him. Why?
Because this whole time, *HE* was Chairmen Drek's top henchman and spokesmane for his hybrid planet! Qwark was the one that Drek sicced on the duo when they left Ratchet's home planet Veldin, and now he was ready to finish them off with a ferocious Snagglebeast and secure his deal with Drek of doing this so he can make a grand comeback as a true famous superhero!
The big green fraud left the other big green monster to have his way with the Lombax and his... robot friend...
----------
Use any ranged weapons at your disposal to attack the Snagglebeast from a distance. Eventually he'll put up a shield and chase after you. If he gets too close, he'll pick you up and force A LOT of your weapons' ammo away.
To hurt him in this state, bring him to a bridge and he'll break through it and take damage from the lava. Repeat this cycle of fighting him, and the Snagglebeast will eventually be swallowed up by the lava.
----------
After getting rid of the Snagglebeast, Ratchet & Clank found a new Infobot. It showed an SOS from a commando from Planet Batalia requesting urgent help against a nasty war.
Clank was really worried for that Commando and wanted to help him as soon as possible, but as for Ratchet...
He didn't give a crap anymore about being a hero. He was now entirely dead-set on hunting down Qwark and getting his revenge on him. He was also willing to get away from Clank for this because Clank was the one that wanted to find Qwark to begin with, back when he was thought to be a good guy.
Ratchet found a ship that Qwark left behind, but he couldn't use it because the ship also used a Robotic Ignition System just like their older ship. As such, Ratchet was forced by Clank to help that Batalian Commando if he wanted to use his RIS to start the ship.
Captain Qwark quickly returned to Drek, and Drek was angry that he didn't kill the duo, himself. His sponsorship was now at risk if he didn't do that deed soon.

If this game's story was split up into Acts, then this would be the end of Act 1 out of 3.
What seemed like a pleasant team-up at first was now turning into a reluctant alliance, as Ratchet's revenge against Captain Qwark has turned him much more mean and rude to poor Clank.
Strap yourselves in for a bitter part of this game, because Ratchet's gonna be this way for a while.
