Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Part 87: Gathering More Tomes for Adenine
2Adenine's Blade Quest is the last one I wanted to do before I finish this base playthrough.
You're gonna have to collect some tome's for her before it can start. There are four volumes of the Tome of Morytha. When you can find them, you can then put Adenine through a Merc Mission on each of them them to decipher their old writings.
I've already gotten and deciphered Tome of Morytha #2 & #4, which both increase the level of Adenine's exclusive "Extra-Ancient Wisdom" Field Skill:
- You can get ToM 2 from unlocking her Level 2 Affinity Chart with Trust, and then buying the tome from Reedirait Bookstore in Argentum.
- You can get ToM 4 from unlocking her Level 3 Affinity Chart with MORE Trust, and then winning the tome in an auction held by Pilopilo in Argentum's Cental Exchange. I still need to do that by the start of this video, which I go do at 1:25 - 3:15.
I also still needed to get ToM 3, too. You need to bring Adenine's Affinity Chart to Level 4 with EVEN MORE Trust.
Once you've done that, you have to talk to Tevissa at the Goldmouth Flight Deck in Argentum (check 12:25 - 13:40), who will then tell you to Salvage at Umon's Shipyard at Gormott (check 15:25).
Grab each of these tomes, and then go through their Merc Missions to raise each level of Adenine's Affinity Chart. ToM 3 will bring it up to Level 4.

I then needed to talk to Krezzi at Theosoir in Tantal, but I was stumped over why he didn't show up.
Turned out that I need to advance Chapter 8's plot a little bit further by going up the World Tree's first elevator. Which means another story summary to write for a moment.

Torna brings Jin back to their Monocerous ship, and put him in a rejuvination chamber to heal his wounds from all of the battles he went through between the Cliffs and Lands of Morytha. He was not yet ready to die, despite ever-so desiring to, and also despite how Lora would've thought about his current objective...
Malos was ready to help Jin to their own bitter ends of killing the Architect and the regret they had in beliving in him. Jin preserved Lora's body to remind him of this...

So after this plot advancement, you should see Krezzi in Theosoir now. Before you can get the Tome of Moytha #1 from him, you need to please him with certain items that he has in a list, but these items are made up of smaller materials.
To just get to the point, Krezzi will only like what makes up the Cute Fluffy Ears, and everything else you try to please him with will be wasted like trash.
To give him a Cute Fluffy Ears, you need:
- Gormotti-Ear Headband (Salvage at Temperantia's Dalnes Stone)
- Fluffy Snow Bug (Try Collection Points in Tantal, mainly those near Little Banerro Ruins)
- Fire Tarantula (Try Collection Points near Temperantia's Ruined Chapel of Danafas)
Give him he ears, and he'll finally cough up the Tome of Morytha #1. Run its Merc Mission, and when it's finished, you unlock Adenine's Level 5 Affinity Chart.
This will also finally unlock her Blade Quest, which the next video will be about.
