So, after completing the storyline for Bully (I want to livestream myself beating the game but that will probably take place either next year in January or later this month; for you time wizards in the future, this note will make very little sense), we then move back into the Ratchet and Clank series for a very short time. Coming into this game, I didn’t really know what I should be expecting since we no longer had Clank (I guess “Minor” spoiler for those who haven’t watched/played Tools of Destruction but this is a “sequel”) and I was wondering if it would be sort of like Ratchet: Deadlocked. For those unfamiliar with the game, it was the first time where Clank and Ratchet were separated from one another and the game was rather dark (they were forced to fight other Heroes and, if they didn’t, they would be murdered via a Deadlock Collar; think Ratchet and Clank meets Hunger Game without the “trying to overthrow the government” vibe and instead just a “let’s get the hell out of here without dying”). Unfortunately, this game is a very short experience that feels more like DLC for Tools of Destruction instead of its own game which is a shame. I was looking forward to see what they were going to do without Clank, gameplay-wise; To see if they were going with the more arena-based shooter game or how Ratchet was going to adapt to completing puzzles without Clank (To be fair, they do have a little bit of this within the game as we’ll see but I kind of wanted more).
