Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal: Part 32: Kicking Some Nefarious Arse (Final Boss & Ending)
After fighting through the strongest fortress of the Robonoids, Ratchet & Clank, the Galactic Duo of two galaxies, get to confront Dr. Nefarious and his butler Lawrence.
But then they quickly escaped in their Biobliterator, so Sasha sent her dropship to Ratchet & Clank to chase after them!
----------
Falling into an arena, Ratchet was able to destroy the machine Nefarious was going to use to attack Veldin.
When Lawrence was busy being useless to help Nefarious out, he decided take matters into his own metallic claws...
----------
Nefarious isn't just a robot. He's a robot with a lot of deadly psychic powers, such as lasers, bombs, and phantom strikes.
Bring about 1/4 of his health down, and then...
----
Suddenly, and unceremoniously, Nefarious gives up and admits defeat.
But while Ratchet is gloating about his victory, he was easily tricked as Nefarious got to get up and run away, again.
This trickery brought this Lombax to his very last nerves! If there's anything Ratchet has hated the most this whole time, it's falling for a trick!
----
So now you have to chase after Nefarious a little while fighting through more enemies.
This can seem rough, but then... some help will arrives in the form of the Galactic Rangers... and they actually manage to take down some baddies on their own! They've really come a long way from being saved by their Sarge to now helping him in this final battle!
----
Once you've caught up to Nefarious, he'll use some of his same attacks from the arena, as well as some new ones such as firing huge purple tracking laser.
Now take Your Arsenal, and shove as much of it Up HIS!
----------
Once Nefarious health is all the way down, Lawrence finally answers his call. Turns out he was busy playing his bass guitar.
After enough yelling from his master, Lawrence activated the 2nd Biobliterator's secret final form: A gigantic mecha!
Nefarious was now more than ready to finish off Ratchet & Clank, but before he could... even MORE help arrived to save them...
It was none other than Nefarious' original arch-enemy: Captain Qwark! He finally overcame his early retirement to save his galaxy from evil. Maybe he's not such a zero, after all! Just a big fat, heroic Q!
----------
For this third and final phase of this fight, you have to use the Hovership to shoot at the Biobliterator mech from the sky.
If it gets wreck, you're gonna have to traverse the field with the Turboslider until you can find another one.
If you die at ANY single point of this entire finale, you'll have to start from the very beginning ALL OVER AGAIN!
NOW MAKE IT COUNT!
----------
Eventually, through the help of the Galactic Rangers, and the sudden surprising help from Captain Qwark, Ratchet & Clank have defeated Dr. Nefarious.
The giant weapon was now prompted to self-destruct, so Nefarious wanted Lawrence to teleport them out in time. It didn't matter to him where, though.
Unfortunately, the Biobliterator blew up much quicker than planned.
----
Much later, Ratchet, Clank, and almost all of the friends and allies (and other assorted NPCs) they've made across both the Solana & Bogon Galaxies have joined them for a premiere of the latest Secret Agent Clank film.
It turned out to be a pretty big hit, the biggest one, yet, thanks to Agent Clank's new sidekick, Skrunch the Monkey.
Ratchet got another kiss from Sasha, and Skrunch wanted to kiss Clank, but he refused.
And the galaxies were back at peace...
----
And after the credits, what DID actually happen to Dr. Nefarious?
It turned out that Nefarious & Lawrence were stranded on a meteor. Sure, they survived the last Biobliterator's explosion, but they now they were basically lost and far out of range to use the teleporter again, because Nefarious didn't give Lawrence any decent destination to teleport them to...
...and they likely won't be in range in the next five to ten thousand years...

After beating this game, like the previous two, you have the option to timewarp back to before you beat the final boss, or replay the whole game on Challenge Mode, a New Game Plus with tougher enemies and bigger Bolt-grabbing opportunities, along with other surprises.
However, this is the end of my playthrough of this game, for now. This ends my time with the original PS2 trilogy of Insomniac's Sci-Fi series.
But, of course, it's far and away from being the end of Ratchet & Clank itself.
So thanks for watching, and stay tuned for when I eventually come back to this series for further galactic adventures!
