Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Part 76: The Nopon's Greatest Fear
I had just finished an Erythia Sea Quest involving Dorin & Bambam getting into trouble again.
Afterwards, I went through another cute and silly Standard Quest, this time involving another Nopon. Or two.
----------
I bring Ouroboros to Predator's Paw. There's a weird and mysterious structure there...
Riku & Manana got a closer look at its writing... and it chilled them to the very last strand of fur on their little round bodies...
Some kind of dangerous monster was sleeping inside of that monument! The Nopon urged their Ouroboros friends not to offer it anything, or could wake the monster up.
But all this did was peak the team's curiosity.
This starts the Standard Quest: "Unspeakable Beast".
----------
Don't waste much time thinking it over. See what you can offer to the monument, do that, and see what happens. I had way more than enough to give it.
----------
As such, Ouroboros FAILED to heed Riku & Manana's warnings. They were deemed "big stupid".
And thus... the monster was awakened...
...and it was a just a Depriti Pippito...
Sena was so entranced by its cuteness that she went into pet it...
And that's when reality FINALLY snapped in, when the seemingly-innocent creature... suddenly went berserk!
Ouroboros realized that they had to take this little beast serious and put it out of its misery!
----------
And the game won't lie to you about this. This WILL feel like a boss fight.
Not only does this Pippito have a lot of health, but it can constantly dodge a lot of your attacks, especially when it uses Pew Pew. Just pay attention to how often each attack gets a "Missed".
If you slack off too hard, it could potentially even knock out one of your party members. Like DUDE you might even have to pull out some Interlinks and Chain Attacks against this critter!
----------
After that shockingly stressful battle, Ouroboros came out wiser to heed their Nopon allies' warnings about tampering with dangerous structures.
Riku & Manana, however, were more offended that Ouroboros considered that demonic Pippito cute, or moreso, cuter than them.
An apologetic lesson was learned, but Taion felt that this was somewhat of an overreaction...
----------
The awkwardness I had with avoiding the white fog along the sea afterwards was because I mixed one Quest up with a different that I wanted to hold off on just a bit longer until this smaller Quest was out of the way.
But then I ended up going towards the spot that triggered the bigger Quest. That will be for Part 77, and what makes it so big and juicy?
It's a Hero Quest, the first one I go through from the Erythia Sea and probably one of the most memorable ones in the entire game.
