For a dumb money clicker/farming game, I actually got sucked into this one.
The layout is well thought out (though certainly not perfect), and the cartoon style has its charms.
I think the concept itself could have some real value if implemented in a way that actually required some tactical thought and skill.
I decided to put this one to the test. I actually bought the 2nd, and most expensive train on offer from the store. This "Hogwarts" train provides the highest money multiplier, and I have no doubt is an unlicensed Harry Potter reference.
So with this super train, I managed to actually burn through all of the different themed versions of this game, and have included them in this video. It took several days of jumping into this app and here is the ugly truth... the game requires that you watch adverts.
Thankfully the adverts are not forced onto you, but if you want to actually progress, you do need to use those multiplier and turbo mods that appear on the right hand side of the screen to speed up your money making ventures. I suppose if you wanted to really play this completely free from micro-transactions and adverts, you certainly could, but the extra time taken could easily be measured in the thousand percentile range.
Another word of warning is the store itself. All prices appear to be in $USD regardless of your region. If you try purchasing an item (and you would be mad to buy anything other than this one, most powerful train), you will see the real price tag from the GooglePlay checkout. From memory the Hogwarts train cost me around $9 AUD.
Ultimately though, I would recommend you watch this video to get any kind of interest in this game, out of your system, and move on to something of value. Even if you are a hardcore train nerd.. watch this video and play something else!
This is just another cash grab with a very shallow "game" on offer.
