RDNA 2 Features Variable Rate Shading | Apple To Use AMD In Products | Faster Epyc SKUs Incoming
460Some interesting listings have pretty much confirmed that AMD's RDNA 2 GPUs, Navi 21, Navi 22 and Navi 23 will support variable rating shading AKA VRS. The Xbox Series X was previously confirmed to use this technology.
We have some AMD APUs being spotted in Apple Catalina 10.15.4 beta code, which hints at Apple switching from Intel to AMD. It could potentially be AMD Renoir, Raven Ridge, Van Gogh or even Picasso.
The Threadripper 3990X has been overclocked by a pro overclocker to 5.5GHZ, breaking the world record. Some other overclockers have also achieved very impressive results with the 3rd gen HEDT processor.
Finally, some leaked benchmarks seem to show that AMD are working on improved EPYC SKUs, optimising them for higher frequencies.
