14:00 Lead the law across the border, fire your weapon periodically to avoid losing your wanted level

15:17 If it isn't a Hungarian Halfbred, ignore it (binoculars don't work with a wanted)
16:12 Hungarian Halfbred spotted (a chestnut coat in this location will often be one)
17:06 Challenge complete, begin escape back to Big Valley and lose wanted level
Rotate between the four locations above: The Heartlands, east of Horseshoe Overlook, Grizzlies East, South of Wapiti Indian Reservation, Big Valley, by Little Creek River and Big Valley, South of Riggs Station, to get most of the horses, setting up camp or using the train to fast travel, and you should get most of the horses you need. Various types can spawn in these locations, but the Appaloosa and Nokota are generally more rare and only tend to appear where shown. Other possible locations to check are due north and south of Emerald Ranch. Whilst you can find the Hungarian Halfbred, in the unrestricted parts of the map, it's very rare. I wouldn't recommend trying, you could spend hours hunting and not get one. They are however incredibly common near to Beecher's Hope on the Great Plains, but that area is still being patrolled by Pinkertons. However, the Pinkertsons won't spawn if you have law pursuing you from Big Valley. So I find the best way to do this is to get a wanted level south of Strawberry and have the law follow you across the border. They might shoot you a few times while you break the horse, but if you take a health tonic in advance the damage should be minimal - where as a group of Pinkertons would probably finish you off before you can complete the challenge.
