Red Dead Redemption made over $725 million during its opening weekend.

Crazy Numbers right.

This makes Red Dead Redemption one of the biggest launches of all time, not
just for video games, but in terms of all entertainment.

To put that into perspective, Avengers Infinity War made $257 million in it's opening weekend.

So Red Dead made 3 times that. Crazy!

Now, what you've been waiting for... how did it compare to GTA 5?

Well, GTA 5 made $1 Billion, yes with a B.

Which is kinda expected with the history of GTA, but GG Rockstar. GG.

Also to note. Red Dead smashed some records on Playstation 4.
