Jackson Hastings is the hero in just his third game back in the NRL following a three year absence. On his return from a suspension. Hastings took the No.7 jumper from Luke Brooks and led the team around the park. He then slotted the winning field goal. It was the team's first win of the season. and the first for Hastings as a Tiger. 'There's only one way to show that you care about something. and that's to go out there and put on a performance like that.' he said. 'We finally did it. We will celebrate tonight. But it's one win out of six mate... we've got a tough game next week. 'It's hard to believe. but we have actually been happy with glimpses of our performance. But glimpses aren't good enough in the NRL. playing against the best players in the world. 'We have a look in our eyes when we were going out to warm up. I just knew we were on. I felt this calmness. this collectiveness. 'Luke Brooks... get off his back for a week. What a performance.' While thrilled with the win. Hastings is realistic there's a lot of work to be done before the Tigers are considered a finals chance. 'It's an infectious feeling. There's a few boys in the side that have been lucky enough to play finals. and play internationals and Origins.' he said. 'But we want the whole club to get there. we want to be consistent. We need to keep building on this and string some wins together.'
