RE4 1 chapter=1 weapon no damage run 2-1 (shotgun only)
6Finally, a chapter where we have some weapon options! We can use the BAR, shotgun, Punisher, TMP, or even hand grenades here. The latter isn't very feasible since 6 are required in 2-1, meaning I would need to get 2 random hand grenade drops between 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3 (no thanks). The BAR is also out, as I need 2 firepower upgrades, a capacity upgrade, and some random rifle ammo drops to beat El Gigante. There’s very little TMP ammo that I can collect before El Gigante, and besides, it’s better suited to 3-3. That leaves the shotgun and the Punisher, and since those are really the only 2 viable options for 2-3 and that chapter would require a ton of shotgun ammo, I opted to use the shotgun here.
In order to beat El Gigante after 2 stuns, you must upgrade the shotgun firepower once. Also, in order to conserve ammo, I try to shoot him in the head only (his weak point). This could have gone faster, but shotgun ammo will be pretty precious in later chapters. I end with an empty shotgun, too, which is perfect since I have to discard it.
So far, we have:
1-1: handgun
1-2: flash grenade
1-3: harpoon
2-1: shotgun
The rules:
1.) Only one weapon may be equipped in a given chapter, and ONLY that weapon may be used, even for opening boxes. This also means that the weapon must be unequipped at the end of the chapter, either by selling or discarding it.
2.) All 19 of the new game weapons must be used.
3.) No damage
4.) Professional difficulty
5.) Saves only at the end of a chapter
6.) Tactical restarts only (to clear enemies out of an area), i.e. no restarts because of a hit or a missed shot, etc.
