GoatPunks is a rip-roaring multiplayer game of goats, mountains, fireballs and good ole head-butting action. Can you hoof it to the top and stay there?
Pit your goat against other players in a battle to become king of the mountain. Fight through an onslaught of bombs, obstacles and other players to climb to the top of 9 vibrantly-themed mountains. Once up there, stay on top of the competition for 30 hectic seconds to claim victory.
GoatPunks supports up to 4 players in head-to-headbutt, split-screen, action. Grab your controllers and get ready to roll. Shields, weapons, and power-ups are scattered about the mountain, and if you manage to get your goat to make it up the peak, all the other goats will have a common enemy: you!
Stages vary in complexity providing a range of challenge and the levels are hand illustrated in an anime-like style inspired by Studio Ghibli movies. You'll race up exotic backdrops including ice, city, candy and lantern mountains. Although the objective is simple, each round is a new adventure where anything can happen!

Why Early Access?
“GoatPunks has been the vision of one person for several years, developing all art assets, programming and sound effects. I’d like to invite the community to take part in the next phase of its development process to help create a game that can be enjoyed by friends just like the games I played during high-school, i.e. bomber man and smash bros. As a solo developer, it can be challenging to test a game yourself especially if it's a 4x multiplayer. It is my hope to have the community share in its development and have fun doing so.”
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“The date for the full release of GoatPunks has not yet be set. There is always a great unknown when releasing a passion project into the wild, and seeing how the community takes to the idea and inform the development for the next phase of the game.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“Local multiplayer is where GoatPunks shines. Future integrations in the pipeline include the expansion of online multiplayer capabilities, numerous add-ons, game modes, new characters and stages. With the help of the community, I hope to continue to expand the GoatPunks world.”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“GoatPunks currently features king-of-the-hill game mode with 4x local multiplayer against players or computers. There are 9 goat characters with 9 matching stages to choose from.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“As the full version of the game gets released there is a chance the price will go up to help support features like online multiplayer and significant unforeseen updates.”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“As the core of this game relies heavily on multiplayer, I believe it is important for the community to be involved with the development of the characters and how well they interact with one another. There are plans to integrate Steam Workshop to help expand the existing character set as well explore the potential for new stages and stage mechanics. There are many significant updates to come, many of which will be driven by community input.”
