Realms of Arkania: Star Trail - Part 2 - Lowangen
2Prepared for the loss of their equipment, Marcus, Memphis, and Bernard enter the besieged city of Lowangen, where they work for a man named Dragan, who sets them on their course. Marcus and Memphis must stay behind as hostages, while the rest of the party searches for a man named Agdan Dragenfeld in the swamps.
After helping a group of lizardmen and dealing with a treacherous old witch, Bernard undoes the magic transforming Agdan into the swamp rantzy, and they return with him to Lowangen, freeing their friends in the process. With Memphis and Marcus returned, the party re-outfits themselves once and again returns oncemore to Lowangen, where they fight against one of the hardest fights in the game - the orcs trapping the city.
This fight contains overwhelming odds, with enough orcs to surround every single member of the party. The trick to winning is surrounding targets with as many heroes as possible. Even the characters with the highest AC will still take damage, so you must defeat the orcs as quickly as possible. Marcus and Dexter lack heavy armour, so they must either flee (off the table in my case, because I don't want them to lose experience) or be injured carefully enough so that they faint.
This fight really showcases how powerful Bernard has become. He is nigh immortal by casting Magic Armour, is able to indirectly defeat many orcs with Horriphobus, and then heals his friends before Drake, Victor, and Memphis clean the rest up. A very exciting and tense fight, but rewarding as well.
