Recruiting Espectro Henchmen Review | Evil Genius 2
The Cabal Pack DLC is here for Evil Genius 2. This is the first DLC on the Evil Genius 2 development roadmap, and it's focused on a henchmen so I had to rush into it. The star of the show is Espectro, a brand new henchmen you can recruit who has his side story tangled up with Eli Barracuda Jr., Janet Bombe, Sir Daniel, and Full Metal Jackie. He is bringing with him a few new items, a few new outfits for our aforementioned friends, and some unique side story interactions.

The Verdict on Espectro: Good henchmen, not game breaking but one of the better guys to recruit.
The Verdict on the DLC: Wait for more new content before diving in because it's currently set up to force you to start a new campaign to play with it and this pack doesn't bring much new stuff.
DLC Contents:
Espectro (new recruitable henchmen/super agent)
Team up side stories with Eli Barracuda Jr, Janet Bombe, Sir Daniel, and Full Metal Jackie, if those henchmen remain unrecruited.
Recruitment side story for Espectro himself (only recruitment is allowed during the story, you cannot just kill him)
Raygun interrogation chair reskin (set up as a loot item, just does what your interrogation chair does)
Induction chair (also setup as a loot item, will change the outfits of the four henchmen Espectro is connected with in his side story, does not make any other changes to them.)
Coming one month after the release of Evil Genius 2, and the day after a massive rebalance patch, a lot has changed in the game. I try to keep my thoughts clear on each piece of the updates, but some rambling ensues. The big kicker of the DLC, besides being a very small update that feels like it should have been free instead of $5, is that you have to start a new campaign to play with Espectro and his toys. So that save you've developed for 30+ hours can't get him. Now the new patch has followed through on its promise to increase the game speed, but it has brought so many other changes along with it that there is going to be a bit of a learning curve if you plan on launching a new campaign after being familiar with the game at launch.
