Mission Overview
Using the pseudonym 'Jim Milton', John has secured a job as a hand at Pronghorn Ranch, and gets to work.

Story
After a conversation with foreman Tom Dickens and ranch owner David Geddes, during which John accidentally introduces himself as "John, Jim Milton", John is set to work with fellow ranch hand Abe. As the two walk through the ranch, Abe points out the wagon arriving with Abigail and Jack from Strawberry. John asks Abe not to mention yesterday's brush with the Laramie Gang but Abigail corners him, she already knows and warns John about his behaviour.

John brushes her off, it was yesterday's wagon chase that led to him finding work on the ranch in the first place, and joins Abe in walking to the cattle shed. After milking a cow, Jack joins his father to help clean out the stables. While shovelling muck, John remarks "You're a long way from Angelo Bronte's mansion now".

While Jack finishes up in the stables and John returns to the house for a chat with Abigail. We then see John leaving the house for his third day on the ranch.
