RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 - LINUX - Gameplay [Steam Proton] - VKBasalt
Red Dead Redemption 2 with Steam Play Proton (5.13), the Linux compatibility layer from Valve.
The game is finally compatible with Linux thanks to latest Steam Play Proton 5.13-1 !
Red Dead Redemption 2 settings for stable FPS on a GTX 970 (+/- Xbox One X graphics settings)
Please note that the game is rendered at 90% with custom settings for a "mostly" 45-60fps experience on a GTX 970. The final image is enhanced via Contrast-Adaptive Sharpening to avoid blurry image via VKBASALT (see VKBASALT chapter below).
The game is running on a I7 3770 + GTX 970 (see "PC CONFIGURATION" and
"GRAPHIC SETTINGS" below for details).
Note that this video is recorded with a cheap capture card .. The video image is not the highest quality but there is no frame loss during recording.

VKBASALT
VkBasalt seems not to work right now with this title .. When it works back use the following settings for an enhanced picture.
config : CAS 0.9
references: https://github.com/DadSchoorse/vkBasalt
The image being calculated in 90% we use VKBASALT to sharpen the overall image using CAS value 0.9 (Contrast-Adaptive Sharpening the equivalent of AMD fidelity FX algorithm).
The game is rendered at 90% that means 1821x1024 (1080x1920x0.9 gives 90% of the total pixels, then keeping the aspect ratio constant will get you a resolution of 1821x1024)
