Two days after arriving to Colter, Abigail Roberts, John Marston's partner and mother of his son Jack, asks Arthur to find John who hasn't come back to camp since he had been sent out to scout the mountain. With the spring snowstorm still in full force and knowing that John has left the gang once already shortly after Jack's birth, Arthur begrudgingly heads out to look for him, being accompanied by a Mexican outlaw and Van Der Linde gang member named Javier Escuela, eventually finding him wounded and stuck on an nearby mountain full of hungry wolves. As they travel, Javier reveals to Arthur, who wasn't present during the robbery in Blackwater, that Dutch had killed a young woman during the robbery, going against his rule to never harm innocents...
