Red Earth! A RARE MISS for Capcom in the 2D Fighting Genre! Fun but Flawed on CPS 3 - Warzard
Red Earth was the launch game for Capcom's CPS III / 3 hardware...and it shows! While it's a graphical showpiece for Capcom's new at that point arcade hardware...it's a bit thin in the gameplay department. It feels half like a 2D fighting game and half like a beat em up boss rush mode. It's not a bad retro gaming experience...it's just a confusing one!

It should come as no surprise to anyone that I love arcade games and when you love arcade games...you love Capcom!
So I decided to do a video on EVERY SINGLE Capcom CP / CP System Dash / CPS II and CPS III game ever game.
We are officially at the end of the line with the Capcom CPS 3 games!
Up next: Red Earth! It's a really weird game for sure. It's a 2D fighting game that plays more like a boss rush mode than a traditional fighter. Visually it's stunning...gameplay? Bit of a letdown! Its definitely a much less interesting game than any Street Fighter, Darkstalkers or Jojo's Adventure that's for sure!
Oh and in Japan its Warzard...or War-zard. Odd!
I can't wait for CPS 3 on MiSTer FPGA
