Red has a long cooldown on her ability meaning that if you fail them, you're pretty much naked. That's why you gotta be sure to touch it. It means that you have to hit them when they are miss positioned or bait an ability so they have an endlag and can't dodge ur skill (and can't cancel your ability). You can also bait an ult sometimes by faking to go by hitting him with a skill then ulting away instantly.
Red has a lot of mobility so you gotta play around that to bait abilities since you can easily dodge and then counterattack. Btw that's in the case where you face good players and they play super defensively. If it's some noobs just roll your head on the keyboard and it's gonna work.
Also, u have to keep in mind that Red can pressure a lot just by jumping back and forth doing nothing else because they think u'll engage and so they'll be scared.
Basically with red you wait for opportunities or create some by baiting people. The goal is to inflict as much damage as possible without taking any, so, if you are doing a combo and the 2 enemy team mates turns on you just cancel midcombo and run if you know you'll take more damage than what you'll inflict
thats all i can think of this game does not have a lot of mechanics it's just a decision making game reading situations etc and having a good synergy with your mates so you understand each others.
So they dont hit ppl while you are doing combos ( unless they time their attacks well but not a lot of ppl manages to do this xD) etc
so they come and focus the guy you managed to get in your auto attack combo.
Just be patient and don't use your ability cd for nothing and it should be good.
