Both the Redmi Note 5 Pro sports the Snapdragon 636 chip while the Redmi Note 3 sports the Snapdragon 650 chip. The Redmi Note 5 Pro in this video has 4 GB RAM and the Redmi Note 3 has 3 GB RAM.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Note 3 run on MIUI 9 but the former is based on Android 7 Nougat while the latter is based on Android 6 Marshmallow.
